The Big 4-0!
To Brad's dismay he finally turned 40 this year! His sisters and mom did an awesome job of planning a double birthday bash to celebrate both Brad and long-time family friend Cara's 40th birthday. It was a day-long event, starting with tennis in the morning, lunch at John and Cori's house, golf in the afternoon, then a big party at Jill's house down in Gig Harbor. The birthday boy had an AMAZING day!

Almost walking!
Brad is out of town on a golf trip this weekend so mom and the kids spent the day at one of our favorite places, the zoo. This is the first time we have been that Anna has really taken notice of the things around her. She wasn't quite sure what to make of the different animals. A little afraid of the big ones, intrigued by the little ones...especially the colorful birds flying around. I only managed to take a couple of pictures while at Zoomazium (indoor play area)...for some reason it's tricky to take pictures while chasing a couple of crazy boys around a big zoo. :) I'm sure her dad won't believe me but Anna took TWO STEPS to walk from one drum to the other without holding onto anything! She is getting SO close to walking!!

Happy Birthday Tyler!
I can't believe my baby boy is 3! Tyler had his first official big boy birthday party. It was a soccer party at Arena sports and he had a great time running around with all of his friends, especially his best friend from school who we hear about all of the time, Hudson.
My baby boy then...
And now...

A visit from Uncle Ty!
We were SUPER excited to get a quick visit from Uncle Ty (Michelle's big brother) last week. Ty and his family live in Ohio so we don't get to see them very often. In fact, this was the very first time that big Ty met little Tyler and Anna. The boys had a great time playing soccer with Uncle Ty and Grandma!

My little Picasso
In our last parent-teacher conference, Alex's teacher said he was doing great and at the top of his class in all areas. The only activity that he (and many of the boys) never had any interest in, though, was Art. So one day I brought home a bunch of construction paper and markers and since then, Alex has developed a passion for drawing. Some days he and Adri spend HOURS coloring pictures. It's so cute and really interesting to see his imagination at work. From cars & rocket ships to the EMP & Space Needle. One week he was particularly interested in heaven and included heaven at the top of all of his pictures!

Mmmm, food
It just doesn't seem right to have a blog about kids and not have the cute, learning-to-eat, food-all-over-the-face pics...

On the move
Look out world, Anna is officially crawling!
She's been scooching around on her tummy for a while but finally figured out the real crawling technique. She is all over the place. Especially if she sees her brothers playing with...anything. Whatever the boys have, Anna wants. It's early enough, the boys still think it's cute that Anna is crawling over to see them (and their toys), we'll see how long that lasts!
